Led engineering at a climate-tech scale-up that rates carbon projects: 30+ engineers, SREs and scientists, and a product re-platformed for enterprise scale.
Sylvera incentivises investment in climate action through rigorous scientific analysis of carbon projects. I joined as Principal Engineer, the most senior IC in the business, hardening the IAM and API layer to enterprise grade, then re-architecting the data-production platform that powers that analysis for greater scale and efficiency.
Promoted to VP Engineering in 2025, I led a team of 30+ engineers, SREs, and field and machine-learning scientists as a key technical executive on the exec committee. We re-platformed the product for enterprise scale and production efficiency, improved developer productivity, strengthened the data platform and workflow engines, and embedded AI across the product and development lifecycle.
Just as important was the culture: shifting engineering to be product- and commercially-aligned, and building a high-performance, innovative organisation.
